I am all about taking good care of legacies. And sometimes that means dropping them.
If I had pledged my sister's sorority at my school, it would have been a bad fit. We all knew it, and I was released after second round. I was relieved!
My roommate's entire family were all in the same sorority and that sorority released her right before prefs.
While it sucks to not get your legacy house, it's better to end up somewhere that wants you for you and not one that chose you out of a sense of duty.
Give them the benefit of the doubt, yes. But don't string them along.
