I just returned from the Pre-Installation activities. About half of the chapter went out to eat afterward, and we had a blast. AlphaXiGirl and I were the "grownups", but we had fun, too. These ladies are the sweetest, most down-to-earth girls around.

I can't wait to be there tomorrow with them to be initiated and see them installed as a chapter. I'll post tomorrow about how it goes.

Also, Recruitment starts for them on Monday, and I'll be there doing what I can. There seems to be a lot of interest in the new chapter around campus, and should translate into the chapter doing well with numbers. I'll let you know, of course.

I'll be thinking of you and the ladies of Wingate's Iota Zeta chapter. I know that everything will go smoothly and today will be a beautiful day that you'll remember all your life.

And just think of the memories and bond you'll have with the colony members. :->.

I just got back into Wilmington, N.C. from the installation ceremony of the newest Alpha Xi Delta chapter (Iota Zeta at Wingate Univ). It was the most amazing and rewarding ceremony that a sister could ever witness. I had the honor and priveledge of having a speaking part in the ceremony which was great. The looks of joy on the colony members faces throughout the ENTIRE ceremony is indescribable. I strongly encourage anyone who ever has the opportunity to be a part of a colony initiation ceremony to do so. It was definitely a lifelong memory that I will always have.

Congratulations to the newest chapter of Alpha Xi Delta and best of luck on recruitment this coming week!!!

I have been so busy I did not have time to write!!!!! The Installation/Initiation was wonderful!!!!!!!!!! AXiD4Me, which one were you? (PM me and I'll let you know where I was.) Did I get to talk to you? Anyway, the banquet was lovely, and it was great to get to meet the National President! WOW!

Sunday was a busy day for us, and tonight was the first night of Recruitment. The ladies did a fabulous job of talking to the women and getting to know them. I am sure we will get the best bunch of New Members on Saturday.

My girls were talking about your girls yesterday. They met some of them before Saturday, and were glad to see them. They want to plan to do some kind of activity with them. If they do, let's get an alumna activity going at the same time. I would love to meet some of the Elon area alums.

TCSparky- there are a bunch of AZD alumni from Elon in the Charlotte area. I know we are doing a big event for homecoming for our chapter's 10 year anniversary. Maybe we could get some girls from other chapters, like Wingate, to come up for it! That would be sooo much fine!

maggieaxid - Get your chapter president to contact my chapter president (I'll give them a heads up on it tomorrow night). I would definitely love to be there. I met a few Charlotte Alums on Saturday. One of them (Gina?) will be at Wingate tomorrow night. I'll ask her if anything has been planned by the association.

The Iota Zeta Chapter took quota today, adding 12 new members!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, we have the opportunity tomorrow (I think I have this right) to COB more.

I was there too and I have to say...if you ever get a chance to go to an installation, GO! It was so awesome to see how excited these girls were. It was def not a normal initiation!

Is there a reason IZ isn't listed under "chapters in North Carolina" on the national page yet? I'm assuming that someone is just really busy and hasn't gotten to it yet.
