i've got several profs right now that hand out tests and then collect them to keep from having them shared...lazy?? ehhh...other than that, the other profs don't seem to care much cause they either get the questions from the disk that comes with the book or they just keep reusing every year.

My stats teacher has copies of his old tests on file at the library. He suggested that we use them to study before each test. Of course, the actual test had different questions. I think that as long as the old test isn't exactly the same as the new one, it's not cheating...you're just becoming familiar with the types of questions that will be asked.

At my university, the school actually had a test file. It was open six days a week, and professors put old tests there (some were from as far back as 1992). You just had to go and tell the people that worked there what class you needed tests for, and they would pull up a list of what exams were available. You had to pay for the cost of the copies.

My sorority also had a crib system. Basically everyone just copied all their old tests at the end of the semester and put them in a file cabinet... it was divided by the code numbers for the classes.

I do not think it is cheating at all.
