Like I said, I'm pretty sure I've read some public histories that indicate exactly that.

Maybe, though I'd rarely rely on what I read in an unofficial website or source. Perhaps my memory is muddled and I'm confusing this with stories like the name Alpha Chi Omega being chosen because the founders thought it might be the "first and (Greek: kai) last" music sorority. I'll keep wracking my brain. Or perhaps I'm remembering a group or two that started with one name based on an English name or phrase, but later changed to a different name.
But in any event, I don't find it unthinkable at all that a GLO might chose letters based on an English phrase or English words and not shy away from telling outsiders about it, while at the same time the letters have deeper meaning known only to members.

Oh no, these have been around since the 1900s....they are what the post 90s buzzwords are ripping off, which is one of the reasons the post 90s buzzwords stick in my craw.

No, we're not related with ΣAE USA est. 1856. Although we have a lot in common, like having 8 founders, having the same day of foundation (9), and most importantly the same name. We already contacted them back in the 80's, and our leaders were discussing on a merge but no merge was agreed upon since we accept women in our organization, but we maintained friendship with them, those discussions were under the leadership of Kenneth D. Tracey(ΣAE USA) & our very own Dr. Publico & Dr. Illanes.
I am here to read and discuss about fraternities.

While YOUR National seems to have corrected SOME of the matters/issues that caused many problems and miss-understandings between the two UNRELATED groups, seems as if at least one rather important matter was not fully addressed. As far as I am aware of there has NOT been all too much, if any, "maintenance of friendships" for a rather long time. And what seems to still be a belief of YOURS still seems to be causing some confusion among YOUR Brothers as they still seem to be posting on Sigma Alpha Epsilon's social media sites.

A question to SAE-USA brothers, while I've found a bio of Kenneth Tracey ( http://www.jrfco.com/Portals/4/docs/KenTraceyBio.pdf), Is he is still in a position to represent SAE-USA in that regard?
And from my experience with Alpha Phi Omega, even for a National Executive Director of a National Fraternity, getting their heads around just how different the Filipino Greek Culture is can take a while.
