Hillary Rodham Clinton is a Beta Sigma Phi. She is on our membership rolls and on our website as an International Honorary member and sister.

Former U.S. Senators Muriel Humphrey and Elizabeth Dole are as well. There may be others, but I'd need to research a bit more.

Hagan is still a senator. She won't be "former" until Congress convenes in January.

If you are referring to former First Lady Barbara Bush, she attended Smith College but dropped out to marry GHWB. Unless she is an AI, I don't think she's a Pi Beta Phi.

LaneSig, I do believe Former First Lady Barbara Bush is an AI of Pi Beta Phi.

MysticCat, my bad. I omitted "former". *hangs head in shame* Forgive me?

I am sure I saw something about Barbara Bush in a very recent issue of the Arrow. I'm recalling it was right inside the back cover? If my daughter left that issue at home, 'll see if I can find it, unless a Pi Phi can help out!

Barbara Bush did indeed go to Smith. Some of her closest friends are Pi Phis. She became an alumna initiate about a decade ago. Her chapter is Texas A&M but the initiation event was a private one and not a chapter event.
