Tea Cards-

I remember when I helped with ASU recruitment, the girls were given cards where they wrote their names on it. The chapter collected the cards and after each party, the cards and rating slips came to us alums. We matched the cards with the slips. I'm not sure if this is still done anymore (as I haven't lived in AZ for over 3 years).

To the OP:

I say go for it! Contact your local panhellenic and reach out to teachers, family friends, etc...

When I lived in Dubai a lot of women used them. Stated another way, they're business cards for when you don't work outside the home. And they're SUPER helpful. But I think I heard them called calling cards. But when you are in a place where you are meeting a lot of women who you might want to connect with later, it can help a lot. And voila! Tea cards at rush. I'm not opposed, although I think having to print your own and all that entails is putting unnecessary pressure on the girls. I believe we presented our (ugly, computer generated) invitations upon entry into the various chapter houses. And I remember the "pretty girl basket" story from all the way back in 1984 and in the upper Midwest.
