Which is what the old saying and the song "keep on singing" mean.

The 1974 original "Keep On Singing":

Hopefully that if you ever have an internship and the dress is "business casual" (or semi casual business attire, same thing), that you do NOT show up in jeans.

Reminds me of a girl I went to college with. After undergrad and before grad school, I had an internship that she also had. One day she showed up (to a federal judiciary building, mind you) in a short-ish skirt and a crop top that showed her entire stomach. I still remember the look on my supervisor's face.

Business casual is one of those terms that barely even means anything anymore, because it covers everything from khakis and a polo at some companies to a button-down shirt and tie, but no jacket, at others. Heck, even within a single company, it can differ widely from the IT people to the sales people.

In short, I'm sure that your outfit was fine.

Yes, but it is also impolite of the sorority members to ask PNM's to dress up, and then wear jeans themselves.

You mean the Marshalls where I just bought some Kate Spade shoes, a Lilly Pulitzer dress, and a couple of Vineyard Vines polos?

I want your Marshalls. Ours carries US Polo Association, Baby Phat, and Juicy Coutoure.

Semit business casual...or business casual are PRESSED pants or cute skirt, simple shirt with a blazer or sweater. Business casual can be a short skirt (if you have the legs for it), tights, booties with (weather) a blazer or sweater. You can always roll up the sleeves of the blazer to make it more casual. Flats are fine.

If the outfit is bedazzled....not so much.
