RIP JoePa

"Believe deep down that you are destined to do great things."--Joe Paterno

Today, Penn State students and alumni lost a legend. Joe Paterno was more than a football coach. He was a name on our library. He was a member of our family. He represented everything that was good about Penn State. When I think of Penn State, I think of how I was shaped on that campus into the person I am today.

Today, a dark cloud hangs over Happy Valley. Rest In Peace, JoePa.

This fall when Penn State played IU in Bloomington, I noticed that Joe Paterno looked so frail standing on the sldelines and said that this would probably the the last time he would be in our stadium. So sad that I was right.

It seems like Bear Bryant died soon after coaching his last game too. Even though the circumstances of leaving their respective coaching positions were different -- both of them were indeed legendary coaches.

They were livestreaming the whole memorial, and I kept it together until they played the Penn State Fight Song as taps.

He will be so missed.

Just wanted to say that I was able to attend the memorial service and it was so moving. I am so grateful that I could go. I also got to visit the JoePa statue and there were so many beautiful letters and photos from people that knew him. I'm going to miss him.

I'm really sad I can't be in Happy Valley right now. Although it's not so happy right now.
I really want to go to the JoePa statue and pay my respects.
I contemplated driving up there this morning.
