Not that I have to defend my man:
What difference does it make if he did or didn't? GC is a community and we share things like this with each other. So what's your point, really?

Oh I get the "share" thing. I welcome it..enjoy it.
But he threw out he didn't think it was appropriate on a sexual level. This is not saying he did or did not like one of the TV shows, wedding gowns, etc.
I asked a simple question....if he found something inappropriate in an ad campaign did he notify the company.
Do I like the ads? No.. Do I find them inappropriate? No
But if I did, & felt the need to share them with people, I would also take the time to notify the company of my displeasure.
I pointed out.. The company succeeding in doing exactly what they planned by using him to spread the word....but....also, by him not taking the time to let them know of his feelings: just keeps the ad campaigns going forward.
My point ... which you didn't take...was that it wasn't us that he needed to "share" with....it was the company,if indeed, he found it offensive.

They made me chuckle. I find them no more offensive than any other "sex sells" type advertising that doesn't include such tongue in cheek wording. I don't need an $8 flight, but it would catch my attention just as well as a half naked Calvin Klein bill board.

Actually, my next step was to contact Spirit. But thank you for your concern.

I guess this does bring up other ad campaigns. I always think of how unnecessary D&G ads are b/c they are always just sex and then the corporate logo in the corner.
I mean, I'm not sure what they accomplish but I guess it works?...
I'm definitely not giving any other companies a free pass, though.
I had a point I was working to, but I forgot it soo....

They've started airing Spirit commercials in my area. Looks like (at least for traditional media) they're focusing on fares, not Double Ds and Muffs.

Oh man, Spirit Airlines.
I apologize if I've told this story before...
One of my former co-workers was a real cheapskate. When we had CE seminars, he'd always take extra food and bring it home. He'd ask the people who were married to doctors, lawyers, cablemen, trash collectors, you name it--for special favors and "professional help." He kept on hitting me up for Disney World discounts because I grew up in Florida. (It was like he thought each Floridian was born with an orange tree and a lifetime pass to Disney World!) He thought all unmarried women were being funded by our parents because HOW ELSE would we be able to pay the bills without a husband?
Anyway...he was all about a bargain without reading the fine print. Spirit Airlines had one of their super-duper sales, and he went BUCK WILD. He called his wife, sister, cousins--everyone--so they could go to Florida for $18 round trip. He was superloud on the phone too so we could hear everything.
I don't remember what happened, if they went or if the actual cost of the ticket dissuaded him. He's been gone for a year and I can't say that I don't miss the madness.
