Also I learned to play violin, boy, it was hard and expensive to get the lefty violin, so I got the usual violin - took me forever to handle the violin and to play it.

Ambidextrious <-- did I spell that right?
Hmm.. well, when I was a kid, I apparently did everything left handed. Now I write w/ my right hand, although I can write O.K. w/ my left. I eat left handed. I bat right handed. I throw a football better (but not farther) left handed.
I just did that dominant eye test and it was my right eye.
I tend to be more right-minded.
So I'm one of those freaky ambidextrious people, although I don't think I'm spelling it correctly.

I'm a leftie. But some things, like certain sports, I play right-handed. People always make fun of the way that I write too! I was always told that "Only the most intelligent people were born left handed!" and it's true!!!!

Sounds like my old grandmother bless her soul. Her idea of exercise was picking up a slice of pizza and going 1..2..3...
My idea of being athletic is the 10 foot sprint to the phone when its across the room. [/B][/QUOTE]

My roommate is a normal person, but his identical twin is a lefty. Isn't that weird?

To the Left, to the left. . .now TOOTSEE ROLL, LOL!!
I hated those lefty scissors -- THEY DO NOT CUT
I am not the only one in my family but one of the only ones in my generation.
My mom and I used to battle when she was teaching me how to write. However, I do write just like my mom because I had to learn how to forge her signature

LEFTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And dayum proud of it too. I inherited from my dad, but he's the only lefty in his entire family (9 kids). My mother has no lefties-- no aunts, cousins, 2nd cousins, (well, you get the picture)...
The only thing I can do right handed is move a computer mouse. My right hand is seriously weaker than my left, and I like it that way..
the best part was playing baseball or kick ball (remember that) in school, I was the only lefty so no one could trick me up with outside pitches and the like.
In the West Indies, where I am from, they have a saying about left-hnaders. Supposedly, "Lefties owe the devil a day of work."
Don't know if its true, but I'm bringing lemonade, just in case.

My mother never let me cook the biscuits or cornbread (from scratch) because she said I would stir the mixture backwards. If this happened, then the biscuits or cornbread would not come out right.
I still have not learned how to make those two things.

Used to be able to do it right and left handed until had wrist surgery on left but makes no difference, dont do it anymore!
I found out as a Police Officer ( COP ) that I could not hit the damn target as my strong eye was my left and I shot right handed! Your strong eye is what ever you hand is you use!
Mom said never changed me, but as the left handed ones were dicipals of the devil?. That is why back in the good ole days parents changed hands of the kids, taught them that is!
Ah what the heck, who cares as long as you can read, and write you name on the credit card slip or you check book! They dont care as long as they get your $$$$$$

Miss Lefty-Right here
I'm a left-handed female often thought to be ambidextrious (even-handed).
Does anyone have this problem?
I can throw with my left hand, but I must catch with my right.
I write desk level with my left hand, but on the board with my right.
I draw with my left hand, but cut with my right.
Etc. etc

My paternal grandfather was ambidexterous. I can do several things with my right hand. I don't really consider myself ambidexterous.
I do not use the left-handed desks, I can't write using them.

There is no such thing as a lefty violin The bow goes in the right hand and the violin is played with the left.
