Care to add any (general) advice for 2nd time rushers (based on your experiences?)

KSUViolet, of course I can!
Basically what I did after my first rush was that I made friends in sororities after it was over. I would actually hang out with them too to show that I'm still strong and comfortable being around Greek women. It really REALLY helps when you know girls in sororities, but there are no promises that they will vouch for you after a round. It does help though I promise! Another thing I did before recruitment was that I made a HUGE list of questions for the women in sororities like: What does being in a sorority mean to you, favorite event, favorite thing about your philanthropy...etc. It will keep the conversation going and going and going. Every conversation I had with every girl this past weekend had ZERO awkward pauses/silences. I know everyone says to just be yourself, and honestly it's true! I'm a very laughable person, and I was almost always laughing at the things the girls said because there were lots of funny things that I talked about with the girls. Don't be afraid to share embarrassing stories and be goofy because the girls love embarrassing stories and love someone who is comfortable with laughing at themselves. Last year, I think my appearance was part of the reason I got released. I looked awful the second round and wore t-shirt with the name of my school on it (we had to wear something of our color group, and I was in green last year, and owned 0 green articles of clothing) and my hair looked terrible. This year, I was in Blue group, and wore a blue dress and wore my hair straight the whole entire weekend! Wear Lilly Pulitzer if you own any, my chapter loves Lilly and they were all wearing it during the second round. Get recs if you can, even if they aren't required. My school doesn't even mention them to PNMs, but I went in with three (one of them was for DZ). My last advice, is read other threads on what not to do during rush because that saved my life this year.
Thank you so much everyone for your congratulations!! I am so happy I found my home this time!

I think this is the most important thing at ANY school.
No sorority member wants to give a bid to a woman who reminds them - through her words, actions or carriage - that they might have had to hurt someone's feelings during rush. It's kind of like when the guy you really like sees you with another guy and promptly asks you out - even though he may have seen you by yourself a zillion times before.

ODUlove -
It is not appropriate to "out" a poster telling a rush story (the school or the sorority) if he/she doesn't volunteer the information herself.
