Oh my bad, definately misread. But still. Having 75% of sororities closed or disciplined can't be good.

So not all of these groups are CLOSED. I think the majority have just been disciplined. AOII is still on campus as far as I know.

Yeah, AOII is still on campus. They even helped with our expansion at Ramapo.

The AOIIs at Lehigh are good girls. They made some bad choices. I agree, this is likely a Towson-like campus where campus culture needs some serious change. I was at Towson at the time of all that upheaval. Not a pretty site. Probably not unlike Miami (OH).

It all depends what the "discipline" is. Many times, it's more PR than it is anything horrible actually happening. I remember in the original thread, one of the punishments was no mixers till the end of the school year or something. Considering women pay zero for mixers, and there are more than likely enough parties to attend, who cares?
That's females - males are another story.

My friend graduated from Lehigh a few years back and is a member of this chapter. I'm seeing him this weekend, I wonder if he's aware that they closed. I don't think he was very involved in Greek life his senior year (tough major).

Just my opinion, though.

And this.

I think it's the same for just about every house there- I wasn't familiar with all of them, but I was with a lot of them. I think it was more of a "management" problem and lack of participation on the school administration's part than the people in the chapters themselves. Hell, if I knew that I could have gotten away with certain things, as an 18-y.o. or 19-y.o., I probably would have pushed the boundaries. But we knew that we would get lit up if we would have. It's sad that the poor job that the school did is affecting the chapters like this, honestly. It's like, oh, we dropped the ball for so long, let's just say f- it and quit.
