When naming your children, name them something that others can pronounce. My name is Aimée, pronounced A-May (its french). Now, it might sound nice, but on the playground this is how it plays out: Me: "hi, I'm Aimée" Them: "huh?" Me: "Aimée" Them: "Amy?" Me: "yeah, fine, whatever" Plus, do you want to have the freak kid that has to get the blank license plate for their bike and use the stick on letters?
Now my list of names:
Girls:
Caroline Elisabeth
Madison
Sydney
I've always loved the name Lauren, but one of my cousins is already named that
Boys:
Robert Christopher (In the event that I marry my guy and we have a boy someday - my dad's name is Robert, his dad's is Christopher

)
There's a longstanding tradition of using family names for my family, so I guess I'll have to dig back and find some that aren't too french.
