Of Course
Suzie PNM was beyond thrilled to accept a bid to QUINN!
Quinn is otherwise known as...
DELTA GAMMA!
See, I said it was a good story.

Any indication why she was cut so hard (including from Quinn) initially? Was it just a tough year all around on South Milledge?
Obviously, I know you're not going to delve into the dark world of Membership Selection, but if one of the houses that cut me after round one then offered me a bid, I'd be...perplexed.

I mean, I'm not there and I'm several years removed from the process (and as you've stated I wouldn't be able to say why even if I knew for sure), but my guess would be that the cuts came because she is a transfer student without ties to the houses and she's also pretty shy at first. It can be tough when you have any of those three situations, but to have all three will probably result in some pretty steep cuts. I'd guess she was probably a little intimidated/quiet that first day, even at the houses where she felt most comfortable.
They also invited her back for COB after her friend pledged there. I am certain that having a friend in the house when going through COB put her more at ease and helped the girls to get to know her. So it's not like they cut her round one and then gave her a snap bid or something... she essentially went through a second recruitment.

OK - that makes more sense. Pretty sure we did a good bit of that back in the day.

This happens often when RFM is used and UGA in particular seems to be taking a while to work out the kinks.
Basically: the more popular chapters can invite fewer girls back, in all the rounds. If they misfire with their choices, it's very possible they can end up not making quota.
Most of the chapters are not cutting as in "I don't want that heffa in my sorority" - it's more like "I would like to have this girl in my sorority, but she fulfills 95% of the things we want and another girl fulfills 97%."
Obviously I say this not having clue one what DG's standing is in the UGA pecking order.

Plus, the chapters do a pretty substantial ranking list, don't they? I'm presuming they had their list of 200 girls (or whatever) that they could invite back and then a - don't they call it a flex list - of maybe another 100 or 200? Which would mean she was not cut at all. She just didn't rank high enough. I bet a lot of the girls who are quiet end up falling through the cracks this way. There's nothing WRONG with her; she just doesn't stand out enough to make it high enough on the list.

I'd say it was because she was a transfer student and upperclassman. So happy it worked out for her though! The UGA DG chapter has a great reputation as the good girls on campus! So refreshing! Loved the story!
Does anyone know if UGA has an upperclassmen quota?
