I really don't see the point of if the women isn't a alumna or just a regular mom. It impacts her daughter and she has a right to handle things 18 year olds can't. She has the same weight being just a mom as an alumna which isn't much when it comes to a school deciding on chapter's or even nationals. # 411 initiate isn't gonna make them reconsider.

I am sure though whatever the chapter did was worth losing the charter bc that is like a step 10 decision. You normally get fines or probation. The girls are a colony aren't they? All the guys I know that lost the charter still had the same number so they started over as a colony and regained status after 3 or 4 years.

Come on, you know that's perpberry.
To the topic at hand - I don't like thinking of sorority dues as payment for a product. Sorority membership isn't necessarily tangible, that's what makes it great.
Otherwise, I'd just go out and buy a t-shirt.

Because you claim to be an Alpha Chi Omega Alumna, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and hope you are either joking or just trying to stir something up for fun.
No, a parent doesn't have a right to stick her nose where it doesn't belong. You say that an 18 year-old can't handle things, to the point they need a parent involved? Really? Maybe you should tell that to the U.S. military before they send off 18 year-olds to war. An 18 year-old is considered an A-D-U-L-T. Helicopter mommy (or daddy in the case of the Alabama dad) need to keep their noses out of the business of their organizations. I'd be embarrassed if my parents felt they needed to stick their noses in, regarding my GLO, when it doesn't concern them. Just the simple fact that these helicopter parents even make a screen name to come on GC and complain to OTHER GREEKS that their kid got screwed, is pretty pathetic and creepy. Worry about your own life, mom and dad.

The offenses at Wake were nowhere near what happened at their chapters at other schools, namely Miami U and Ohio U. The girls who just initiated can not join any other NPC group - they really got the short end of the stick. No dues refunds or anything. No responses to letters from parents. No way to treat a sister!!

Ma'am, with all due respect, instead of being angry with Pi Phi's National Office, you and your daughter should be angry with the chapter members who caused the situation that revoked the charter. They are the ones whose actions caused the other girls to lose out on their collegiate experience. Put the blame where it rightly belongs.
