Opinions will be based soley on who you ask. If you ask people on this board, everything will be biased to one side. Ask people who are not in the Greek system from the same schools and you will receive an entired different viewpoint.
I agree with Kansas City. First base your choice on academics and location. Then find out about their Greek System, Social Life and Football Team.

Yeah I know there are many biased opinions, but I also will make my own educated guess.
School academics, location etc... is important, though with interest in the greek system ( if I plan to join a fraternity) that will be somewhat important and could have influences.
Ofcourse I wouldn't look at schools outside of my personal preference range ( such as a tier 3 school ) because of the greek system.

FYP.
Seriously, if you are even considering a career in the medical field, you'd best put academics 100% first.
Also, you seem to be fairly confident that your desired future is 100% for sure. Both becoming Greek and a doctor are (without a doubt) NOT FOR SURE. You may not recieve an invitation to join any chapter, especially your top choice.
And medical school admissions processes speak for themselves.....

Another post assuming I'm putting greek first before academics.
As much as you may be trying to poke into my personal life, I know well enough what to consider when selecting universities. Based off universities that I prefer, I was only seeking to hear other opinions ( if it was brought up, and thought it was just interesting to hear others open mind opinion) about my own personal selected universities if mention.
I have a list of universities I'm looking at already, and top choices as well...
I'm not really going to keep explaining myself, from all the recent questions I got back it has most likely already been answered in a previous post of mines on this thread.
This thread was intended for you ( as greekchat.com users) to answer the question. If that can be done, and if all you have an urge to do is critize etc... then again your comment isn't welcome here.

I agree with KS in that your posts leave the appearance of someone who doesn't really care about academics.
Plus, people here aren't big fans of ranking Greek Systems, chapters at a school, etc.
I also think you would have gotten a much different response (Note: with the exact same answers) if you had been more polite (Exhibit A: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...d.php?t=101788 ).
And P.S. The reason we all assume you care MOST about Greek Life in a potential college: your very own posts have led us to this conclusion. It wasn't an outright assumption.

Don't need a random post on how good of a school Pennslyvania State University is, for it was always on one of my list.

Oh you couldn't be more wrong! How can Penn State be the best when it isn't even in the South? Texas schools are *so* fratty-rific. Yay UT! Wooooo SMU! Go TCU! Boo for everyone else.
Is this what you were looking for?
(*waving to Nittany* Glad to see you back on here...)

Oh, BOO back to Texas and all your fritter-fratters. Penn State's where it's at! One of the biggest greek systems! One of the biggest football stadiums! Our fraternities rock! Woo! (really hope we're helping the lad -- who should, really, just be focusing on his Algebra II homework and scoping out potentials for the jr. prom)
*waving back at Blondie - hey there! how's the bambinos! glad to be done traveling for the moment, but gearing back up, I'll post whenever I can 'til I'm off the grid again!*

I guess I'm not sure what purpose it would provide for anyone to give a so-called "Top 10 List of Greek Universities".
First off, best at what? Brother/sisterhoods? Academics? Party life? Philanthropy/Community service? Active in SGA, honoraries, clubs, etc? Alumni involvement?
Second, I'm willing to bet there are few folks in the country, aside from I/nat'l officers, who have spent enough time on enough campuses to make accurate assessments of all the Greek systems.
Third, does any of this really matter in the whole scheme of things? I've known plenty of sisters who went to school on campuses that the Greek Life could be termed as lousy for a variety of reasons where an anti-Greek attitude permeated the student body, faculty, administration and even the surrounding community. Yet they loved their chapter, loved their sisters, loved being a member this Inat'l org, and were proud to wear their letters.

What aren't you understanding. As coming to greekchat.com I'm asking questions about fraternities etc... When speaking of academics, school scence in general etc... I go to collegeconfidential.com.
They are two completely different sites, where I seek two different completely information.
Does any of this really matter you ask...? It varies from person, though that was not part of my question.
