One of my colleagues LOVES Hello Kitty.
I liked it as a little girl. I remember a store at the Florida Mall called Sanrio Gift Gate. And at a shopping center in my old hometown there was a store called Celebration that sold A LOT of Sanrio goodies.
Now where I live there are a few stores that sell Hello Kitty.

HK was the design on my checks for about two years.

I love Cinnamoroll! Those ears are so cute! :-)
Mitsukoshi at Epcot (in the Japanese Pavillion) is loaded with HK stuff.

While I was down in Tampa earlier in the month I found a Sanrio Store! I hadn't been in one in many years! Needless to say I bought a few things. I can't find it on their website, but I found this cute panda bear ornament that was on a tree and a cute panda bear pen! I grew up with lots of Hello Kitty things. There is actually a store in Oxford, MS that sells Hello Kitty!

I have loved HK for years!!
I wear a very blingy HK pendant with business suits or dresses for social events and hordes of people come up to be asking about it!
I was jonesin' for this Judith Leiber purse!

...another HK fan here! It's amazing how you can find her everywhere now. When I was little, HK was only found at the Sanrio store, and it was way overpriced. It's cool that girls can buy HK products for $1 at Target nowdays (and grown-up gals)!

Your post made me remember this article in Glamour a while back - no, you're not the only adult who likes Hello Kitty: http://blog.sanriotown.com/hotzone:h...-kitty-toilet/

The Times Square Sanrio store reopened recently. From what I hear it's not like your average mall store!!! Think Bling & Bucks!

I am in love with Hello Kitty!!! I have HK bookmarks, HK pillows and blankets, HK notebooks, HK stickers all over my laptop, HK flannel PJ's (they're soo comfy), I have the HK pirate shirt from Hot Topic, I have a HK husband (those pillows with arms I think that's what they're called), I even have HK ribbons, I used to have HK cell phone charm that my friend bought back from Japan but it broke [insert sad face] but I'm looking for a new one..
I also have a little HK book from like my 12th birthday that talked about her family, her hobbies, her birthday, etc. it also had stickers and little recipes in the back (the friendship brownies were pretty good)

Exactly...I remember when I was growing up, I wanted HK stuff sooo bad, but mom always told me it was too expensive. It made me sad.
I like this one best
