-tattoos (only well done tattoos...fake tribal and chinese characters do not count)
-piercings/stretched lobes
-glasses
-Co. Clare accents, or Kildare accents, and Belfast as well. Not all British accents are nice...Glaswegian accents can be killer, and Jordys can be as well. The dignified British accent most people fall in love with is mostly Cornwall and Londonish bits, although Shropshire and Manchester accents are nice as well. Welsh are quite cool. Some Northern Irish accents are great (I happen to love the Co. Down accent, but MAN I need a translator for Derry.)
-Red heads (hehe)
-Guys with nice bicycles. Hotness of boy greatly increases with awesomness of bike.

Bald head with a goatee
Manly men--not the ones who wear tight t-shirts and thumb rings
A guy with an intense expression. I don't know if that makes sense but it's the best way I know how to put it.

pale white guys with dark hair and dark eyes

deep voice

nice upper arms (not HUGE like a bodybuilder, just muscular enough to look like he works out on a regular basis)

average build...I'm not picky about height as long as he's still taller than me when I'm in heels, so he just needs to be at least 5'6"...i do sometimes guys that are skinnier than average, just depends on if the guy can make that skinny scrawny look work for him

intelligent but not obnoxious about it

sarcastic/sardonic sense of humor

musical ability (especially if he plays guitar)

laid-back personality

can look good in a shirt and tie for work but then can relax in a t-shirt and jeans at a dive bar after work

Basically, my dream guy would be like Ted Mosby but without the super-eagerness to get married.

ooh good one.
  • men who know what theyre talking about (not in a common sense kind of way, which is also a turn on, but ones who are very educated in a particular topic)
  • locs (long, groomed, clean ones, esp when tied back? yesssssssss)
  • men who dance and not just grind up against you in the club (well those are ok too, depending on the type of night it is)
  • women who wear men's articles of clothing (suit vest, ties, fedoras)
  • glasses (particularly frameless ones, like the lawyer-types?)
  • arrogance (to an extent, i guess more like overconfidence?)
  • speaking slow and with conviction (Obama 08!)
  • mysterious types (the ones who dont really tell you much or cant read right away)
  • black men in business casual (and not baggy khakis and a too-tall polo with sneakers. i mean the clothes have to fit right)

I thought of another one over the weekend : men who accessorize well. I mean guys who wear a cool watch or something that looks good on them, not metrosexuals who wear it because they saw it in GQ.

Absolutely, I'm so sick of seeing black guys in white tees, baseball caps, and sagging pants. There's only tiny minority of preppy looking black guys in St. Louis. I'm not overexaggerating or stereotyping, come see for yourself, if anyone doesn't believe me. I also like black guys with that artistic look that a few of us mentioned the other thread. They are even less common than the preppy type. Grrrrr....

I thought of another one. Kinda weird, but I love guys with big noses. I think it just looks so masculine. And plus, if we had kids, it would balance out my small nose.

ETA: WOOHOO!!! 1000 posts, finally!!! And it only took almost four years and a half years.

What turns me on is:

A Southern man (something about the way they can say "darlin'")
a deep voice
nice skin
dark skin and nice teeth (Michael Jordan)
stimulating conversation
nice body
nice booty
the smell of a man when he gets out of the shower
the smell of him when he's working hard
a man praying
the first time my daugther's father held our child (RIP, SCD)
a man who knows what he wants
a man who isn't afraid to take care of his FEET; nasty feet are SUCH a turnoff

White guys with long hair tied into a ponytail or worn shaggy. Basically, guys who look like Brandon Boyd from Incubus.

Black guys who look like Bob Sanders of the Colts.

Money.

I LOOVE Brandon Boyd.. but i'm also in the weird/ edgy Johnny Depp types..

- taller than 5'8 but shorter than 6'1
- preppy clothing style but artistic and "emo/punk" is kool too
- ambition
-light eyes and dark hair
- small noses and sexy lips (think David Beckham)
- awareness of political and social issues with an actual opinion (not just what mom or NBC says)
- good at making decision and doesn't rely on me to call the shots
- witty
-wide-range of musical taste
- if they play acoustic guitar i'm SOLD
- nice smile/ straight teeth
- almost any hair style is fine (just no cornrows, dreds, and unkept shape ups)
- in touch with his emotions (but not like the type that cries while watching the notebook)
- great conversationalist
- book smart with common sense
- good hygeine overall and a guy that smells like fresh linen
- a guy that's hot but isn't cocky about it
-tattoo's that mean something not the average skull or tribal crap
