I just read WarEagleMom's post....I got tickled, it reminded me that when I was at Auburn we called Bid Day "Squeal" and the fraternity guys called it "pig run." When my daughter went to Alabama I had the hardest time calling it "bid day" but I do think that being there with her for that event was one of my favorite memories of all time....of course, it was September 10, 2001, so the happy feeling was short-lived. Still, I wouldn't take anything for having been there for that!

It looks to me that DZ got an excellent pledge class as well!

Congratulations to all!

Hooray for Kate and WarEaglet!

I wrote two recs for girls at Auburn - one is now a Delta Gamma, the other Sigma Kappa! The Delta Gamma girl is absolutely lovely - she grew up down the street from me.

My daughter had too many favorites to name, it wouldn't be fair. If this was gymnastics then most of the sororities would have been about .01-.05 points apart on the favorite scale. These sororities must have done an amazing job at presenting themselves throughout this process because this was a very close race. My advice to girls who rush would be to truly just be yourself, don't stress over gpa or activities or anything. Keep an open mind, don't pre-judge houses based on hearsay. An opinion is just that, an opinion which is colored by personal experience and bias.

AuburnMom, congratualtions to you, "Kate" and DG!

WarEagle07, congratulations to you, to your daughter and DZ!

To both, can we at least know which other sororities were *almost* lucky enough to pledge them? (where they preffed)
