It seems that everyday there is a story on the local news about a teacher who either assaults a student or is assaulted in school. It is so sad and scary. I saw this little boy on the news and he has terrible marks on his neck where he was strangled. I think that sometimes people just snap from the pressure.

Then they need to change professions! I wish somebody would even think about doing some crap like that to one of my boys. I'd show you somebody who just "snapped". I would just get my checkbook out and get ready to go to jail. I'd just ask them how much it would cost to get out after murder/attempted murder. I just can't imagine somebody putting there hands on my boys like that trying to take their lives.

That kid probably got what he deserved. I have a couple of friends that are teachers and many of the kids they teach are criminals. One girl I know worked for 1 week and a kid tried to stab her with a pair of sissors. The crackhead parents don't do chit. Sometimes they are even worse than the kids.

Which kid are you talking about - the one who got choked by a string or the one who got hung by his pants?? Surely you can't be talking about either one of these boys.
I wish a mofo would!!!!!

I saw that on the news also. I don't know what people are thinking sometimes.
Carolyne, I completely agree that they need to change professions.

NO child deserves to be choked or hung from coat hook as a "joke" on another teacher. Both teachers needed their arses whooped for those stunts. What if the child who was choked had died? What if the kids on the hook had fallen? NO child deserves that and no teacher has the right to even think they can make that decision anyway. If my child is acting up so bad that you want to do harm to him, you need to send him to the office and have them call me. It's a difference between discipline and abuse.

The kid card
Some of these minors and parents playing the kid card, is like some blacks playing the race card when they don't get their way.
Not a few, but a lot of these young people are criminals. How do I know, because I'm a police officer and Have to deal with them daily. We spend several hours doing school breaks just breaking up fights. Do I condone a teacher strangling a 7 year old, no, but some of these 7 years olds will cut your dayum throat.
I'm like Bernie, I'll fight a kid.

Students Cuffed at Elementary Schools
Fri Apr 2, 7:44 AM ET Add Oddly Enough - Reuters to My Yahoo!
SEATTLE (Reuters) - Security guards at elementary schools in Kent, Washington, have used metal handcuffs to restrain unruly students at least four times during the current school year, officials said on Thursday.
The Kent School District, already facing discrimination lawsuits claiming security guards used excessive force in restraining teenage black students, said the handcuffs were used only to stop students from hurting themselves or others.
"We're a very large school district and we have children with behavioral challenges or other issues and that (handcuffs) is the last resort that an agent will take," district spokeswoman Becky Hanks told Reuters.
