Yes, but there is the tea length that many of us think of and the tea length that the collegians think of. If they push it a few inches shorter and it's required to be long, then they are still pretty appropriate. If we allow knees to show, and they push it a little shorter, and they are wayyy too short for Initiation. Give an inch and they take a mile, as the saying goes!

Tea length is technically within 6 inches of one's ankle (I checked many etiquette and fashion books on this prior to doing a program for a chapter!).

I do believe it's time for us to start planning!

While I originally said I was voting for Chicago style pizza, I have finally gotten around to looking up exactly where our hotel is in comparison to everything else. While we can still do Chicago style pizza, I think I want to spend the rest of my evening at Navy Pier. We could eat dinner there too. It's only a few blocks from the hotel!

Check out Navy Pier

You know you're uber excited for Chicago when you see those Hidden Valley Ranch commercials interviewing people at the Navy Pier!

And you can always take the Navy Pier Trolley--its fun, open aired little ride from Michigan Ave to Navy Pier--and it's free!!!

Sounds good to me. I'll bring a better pair of walking shoes, lol.

I guess being a Pier, it will be very windy??

Chicago is the Windy City anyway! It helps keep things cool in the heat of summer though.

Chicago in July will be warm but windy. It also doesn't tend to be cloudy, so pack some sunscreen!

Navy Pier is lots of fun but very touristy. I'm planning to skip the whole thing and hit the art museum one afternoon. If anyone wants to join me for possibly the best art museum in the U.S., I'd love to show you!

Question: What is IHQ's definition of "long" (in terms of dresses/skirts for the Epsilon Pi banquet)?

The requirement is tea length or long.
(I'm lucky, being short, 6 inches above my ankle is pretty high!)
