That was the original plan, but when they put together the reunion which was the 10-year high school reunion, they realized that Emma was the same age as the original cast when it first began airing, so they created the new show. That is why the first episode actually is that 10-year reunion.

I'm so excited that Sean will be back next season and I know sugar and spice is with me on that!

Has anybody been keeping up with the post-JT episodes? They've been pretty darn good.

And NOW an HIV storyline!

There's a marathon of the first two seasons on now. I must say, Aubrey Graham (the PRESENT, definitely OF AGE Aubrey Graham) is pretty hot -- especially with facial hair.

It's like he FINALLY grew into his head! And got some sun.

You're terrible! Lol, I'm still building up my DVD collection. I bought Season 5 first because it was my favorite. Sigh, I miss Direct TV sooooo much.

ETA: DAAAHHH!! Marco's kissing Ellie FOR REAL?? Dangit, my mom is gonna have to TiVo it and I'll watch when I fly home because that preview was so befuddling that this is clearly going to be unmissable.

I know, I've been doing it that way for years. But I miss the actual popcorn-and-couch Friday night experience. :bottom lip:

So Comcast got rid of The N. But never fear.... they're playing Degrassi on MTV right this moment! Current episode playing: JT gets stabbed.

I can't wait!!! I can't believe Emma forgave Liberty just that quick. I can't believe Liberty moved in on Emma's man like that. I can't believe what has become of all the characters!! But, alas, people change that drastically IRl, so it's not that far-fetched at all...

The end tribute to JT made me .

New episodes start Friday, October 10.

Manny and Emma got into the same college: Manny for drama, Emma for English, Communications, Public Relations, or something like that.

Liberty started to like Emma's man, who was also flirting with her. She made a move and got busted. She apologized to Emma and Emma forgave her after Liberty had a tearful breakdown during her graduation speech.

Sean came back and wants to get back with Emma. He's getting shipped overseas.

Paige and her HIV-positive boyfriend are still going strong.

Ellie and Marco "hooked up" and neither of them know where to go from here.

---

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but that's just off the top of my head.
