^^^ indeed - the recent remake by Lady Gaga and the Muppets of Santa baby was pretty bad. Their Version of White Christmas was so bad it does t seem to be on YouTube

It's hard to choose among so many deserving candidates. The hokey sentimentality of "Shoes" and Kardashian (well-described) quaity of "Santa Baby" put them in my top three. For sheer irritation though is that do-loop of "Wonderful Christmas Time". It's like a car alarm -- somebody turn that thing off!!

I like the Eartha Kitt version of Santa Baby, because it's much more sultry and not whiny (looking at you, Madonna).

I can't stand Christmas Shoes though. I listen to the (NSFW) Patton Oswalt video about that song, and I pretty much agree with everything in that video.

This year I've heard some awful, "new" versions of many Christmas songs as though radio stations are tired of playing the "old" versions. NOT A FUN LISTENING EXPERIENCE. It's as if the cast of GLEE did a three CD set of Christmas music this year, and every radio station wants to play it in memory of Cory Monteith. Bring back the older/original versions (that includes Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas). Thank you.

Agree. Meanwhile, I don't think I've ever heard "Christmas Shoes." Methinks I'd like to keep it that way.

So apparently T-Swift decided to record a version of Santa Baby. Pretty sure my ear were bleeding at the end.

Probably "Angels we have heard on High". I just get sick of the
Glo-o-o-o-o-o-O-o-o-o-o-o-O-o-o-o-o-o-O-ri-a.

And just for you, naraht. (5:08, or 3:13 for the set-up.)

I've probably already said this, but I absolutely hate that Christmas Shoes song. We had a very skilled drama troupe at our church last Saturday, and when they started on a version of it, I decided to excuse myself rather than go through the torment.

After going to a Piano Recital of Holiday Songs Tuesday Night, I have a new *least* favorite. "Last Christmas".

Thought I would bump this, seeing as I've suffered through several renditions of my least favorite during this season--

Do songs from the Nutcracker count as Christmas songs?

Can I say something about that damn Christmas Shoes song?

The kid needs an education on the funeral industry because if mom does bite the dust they're not going to put the f'ing shoes on her feet in the casket. So you just wasted all your money. Dumbass.
