Hi,
I have a question. I have been approving people for membership that are on a committee or have signed up to be a big/little. There are some that are interested in joining Gamma Chi, but haven't signed up or anything. Should i approve them to join the community (where we will be having our ceremony) or should I wait and we can initiate them as new members after those that have signed up have been initiated?
Thanks,
Emily

Only current committee members at the moment please. Membership has set us some guidelines for becoming a member of GC. Anyone else interest will be given contact information and details in another post.
For the PR committee list can you please add the following people....
aphijess2002
epsilonelp
This should give us about 6 and if you are already on and havent signed up on the yahoo board please do. Thanks!

There are more than 6. There are about 17, including me, because I was under the impression that those who had signed up to be littles we going to be part of the new member ceremony. I'm sorry about that. It was my misunderstanding

I've gotten a couple of PM's about the design for the T-shirt, so what I'm going to do now is have our art department work on a couple of designs. When they come up with something that works, I'll post a sign-up thread and a deadline. When I know how many shirts to order, I'll be able to tell you the price, but right now I think they will be around $10. When I know the price, I will post it on the board along with the information about the design and the pricing. (The more shirts ordered, the less expensive they will be. That's why I hesitate to name a price until I know how many to order.)
Also, these will be regular T-shirts, not jersies with sewn-on letters. Just wanted to clarify that.... the sewn-on shirts are a lot more expensive and take a long time to get finished. If anyone is interested in that, I'll find out a price for you, but they'd most likely be $20-$25.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please PM me....I am open to anything!

T-Shirts
Is this in US dollars? Since I'm in Canada can I pay with a US money order, or can we figure a way to convert the prices into different dollars?

When I said there should be about 6, I was referring the number of people on the PR (Public Relations) team. The two who I just asked to be added to the list since they signed up on the listserv and the other 4 (3?) who signed up on here when Tresa first started this.
As far as Big/Lils go, dont worry guys you should be part of the first (alpha) new member ceremony also since we (Im on the list too) are a committee in our own way also.
I have to clarify with my other committee members on membership of whether or not there will be a cut off date to join a committee or just for committee members to hand in their apps whenits posted. As I said for those who want to and are not on one, a thread will give more info on when they can join.

Ok, i am totally confused about who is in, not in, gamma chi. but whatever, we'll figure it out at some point.
oh, and my new question is, do we give bids, or is it anyone who wants to join, can?
Anywhoo, here are the "Families". Here's a little explanation on how i did it. I tried to match people up who were in relatively in the same geographic local...however, those of you in the UK and Canada prob. have someone in the US. Then I tried to pair people in NPC, IFC, and MC with those who were non-greek, in locals, or professional GLO's. And I really tried not to have anyone in the same GLO in the same family....(which is really hard to do bc the Alpha Phi's rock! and have joined the most!). Some of you only have one other person you are paired with, some have two. Hopefully as membership grows, the families will grow.
For right now I assigned all the families a greek letter name, more for organizational benefits than anything else.
Ok, enough rambling: Here they are:
ALPHA – BROOKLINEU, LADYPIPHI
BETA-LESLIEAGD, AOTTALUM
