Yea for Texas being #1 - BCS-wise anyway.
Lance Armstrong presided over the coin toss at the Texas - Texas Tech game on Saturday!

Enjoy it while it lasts. If both USC and UT win out, USC will regain #1 in BCS due to strength of schedule. The flip happened this week because UT played #10 Tech while we played the weakest team in our conference. We still have the ranked Cal, UCLA, and Fresno State on our schedule (and have already played ranked (at least at the time) ASU, Oregon and Notre Dame) while as I understand it, UT has no more ranked teams until possibly the conference championship? We play WA State, Stanford, Cal over next three weeks. USC should retake the lead no later than after the Cal game. Only the computers have UT ahead and that is based on this week's strength of schedule. And yeah UT played a tougher team than we did this week. But the rest of our sched looks a bit tougher than UTs does. Frankly, UCLA scares me.

USC fans and UT fans should all be routing for each other AND VT, Georgia, 'Bama, UCLA, etc. If they all win then it throws the system into chaos, and only if there is a total breakdown in the BCS system, will we ever stand a chance of moving into an actual playoff system.
Am enjoying Texas being ranked #1.

Ohio University defeats Ball State last Saturday. We beat one of the bottom 10 teams in Div. 1. I'm so proud.

Good game Longhorns! I was hoping it would be a close game, but y'all whipped us. I have to say UT has a GREAT team this year, and I'll be rooting for you in the NC!

Thanks! I went in thinking it would be a closer game. We had some Tech fans sitting in my section and I will say they cheered their team and stayed till the end. Everyone was very civil - and it's not always like that with some schools we play.

The guy I co-advise with is a Ball State grad and has this story he tells us that the reason the cardinals suck so bad this year is because some alum paid the school $3 million to take a dive this season to all the teams.
Or it could be that they just suck.

Being realistic, what do you believe? Would it be worth NCAA sanctions and possible criminal action for all of the teams to take a dive?
Or, could it be that they just suck?

Has anyone seen the ESPN commercial where a little kid dressed up as a Trojan for halloween walks up to a door , rings the bell and says trick or treat when the door open. The guy answering the door has a UCLA sweatshirt on, sees the kid in the trojan costume and shuts the door in the kid's face without giving him any candy. The kids leaves looking sad.

Plus Kansas beating Mizzou and Colorado just barely squeaking by KState. It has been a strange day in the Big XII North.

Georgia lost to Florida. No surprize seeing the starting Qb was injuried and did not play at all.
Shockley will be back vs Auburn and still can clinch the SEC East with a win against them.

Final Score:
Iowa State 42
Texas A&M 14
And OKState is currently leading Texas 21-9. Granted, it's only the first quarter, so there's a lot of time left.

Jeez Louise! That game made me have nerves! But like last year, we came back after half time and ended up winning 47 - 28.
