LOL!

I like the original by Eartha Kitt. I mean, sheesh . . . It's Eartha Kitt. But otherwise, yeah, I can do without it.

Santa Baby by Madge is still the most hated and detested, but that obnoxious f-ing song by the Pretenders where Chrissie Hynde just whines and whines is moving up fast.
They played it CONSTANTLY at Bath & Body Works when I worked there for a minute. Oh, it's called "2000 Miles" which is how far away I want to be when this crap comes over the sound system.

Side note, I didn't know "Mary Did You Know" so I looked it up on youtube and yes the comment is true, at 1:26 Jesus is wearing shades. I LOLed.

I forget (blocked out?) which one it was, but I heard Katy Perry doing one of the traditional Christmas songs and it was just. painful.

Have been forced to listen to contemporary Christmas music at work since November 1st. I already didn't like contemporary Christmas music, and can already tell this will lead to many "TURN THAT SONG OFF NOW"s in the future.

Also, Michael Buble's "Cold December Night": it's all cute and lonely until he gets to
"I want something that lasts forever
Cause I don't wanna be alone tonight
I'll wear you like a Christmas sweater"-

What?? I'm assuming he means something like he'll show her off at various holiday gatherings, but it just seems like a really porn-y/serial killer-y line.

Any and all novelty songs. Dogs barking, Grandma getting run over by a reindeer.

I heard Celine Dion singing Feliz Navidad the other day and my ears started bleeding...it was HORRIBLE. Give me back Jose Feliciano - he's the ONLY person who should ever sing that song.

Well he is kind of getting up there. And while I do love Feliz navidad, I tend to get sick of it very quickly during the Christmas season because they play it so damn much during the holiday.

And it's the same few lines over and over and over and over and over and over . . . .

There are less than 20 words in this entire song. Shakespeare he is not.

Very true. However part of the reason I love the song is it's simplicity, but since it's the only Spanish Christmas song most people know, the radio stations won't stop playing it.

The Christmas Shoes - BLECCH. There's nothing that screams holiday joy more than a song about a dirt-poor family and their mom's impending death.
