"Rush Hour" star briefly jailed after high-speed Georgia incident
APRIL 19--Comedian Chris Tucker was briefly jailed Sunday morning after Georgia cops pulled over his speeding 2005 Bentley when he did not immediately stop for them. Tucker, 33, spent about 30 minutes in the Warren County lockup before posting cash bond and being released. According to cops, the "Rush Hour" star, an Atlanta native, was doing 109 mph on Interstate 20 when pulled over by state troopers. He was arrested for reckless driving and fleeing to elude after he did not pull over right away. Tucker is pictured below in a mug shot snapped Sunday. (1 page)

The producers feel by adding an accomplished actress to the cast, the other ladies will get it together.
Is Bobby Brown cheating on his wife Whitney Houston? According to published reports, Bobby has been seeing a 19 year-old waitress. Bobby accompanied Whitney to the Island of Antigua, where she is in rehab for her drug addiction. While Whitney is getting help, Bobby is having fun. He's been drinking, smoking and cheating. The young waitress is loving the attention from Bobby, and family members say, she is falling in love. Bobby, how could you?! Whitney and Bobby were supposed to renew their wedding vows once she got out of rehab. They were going to celebrate 15 years together. How will Whitney ever get well if Bobby is acting up? Don't be surprised if you hear about Paula Abdul and Comedian Tracey Morgan entering rehab. Paula is having a problem with painkillers. People are starting to notice and talk about her strange behavior. She keeps falling, crying and getting into car accidents. Tracey Morgan, on the other hand, can't control his drinking. The former "Saturday Night Live" star is wearing out his welcome at New York City clubs with his drunken behavior. When he's wasted, he likes to vomit and take off his clothes. Then, he refuses to pay his bar tab.
Pop Star Britney Spears is pregnant, but not everybody is happy about it. Spears is expecting her first child with hubby Kevin Federline. This will be Kevin's third child. He has a 5 month-old son and a two year-old daughter with his ex, Shar Jackson. Jackson played "Neicy" on the "Moesha" show, and Kevin dumped her when she was seven months pregnant with their son to be with Spears. Jackson feels as though Britney is competing with her. She knew that Britney had a problem with all the time Kevin spent with her and their kids, so now, Britney gets pregnant to compete. Britney's hubby is not happy about the new baby. He wanted to wait awhile because for the past three years, all he's done is make babies. Kevin is going to have his hands full with three kids, a baby momma and a pop princess wife. Will he be able to keep everybody happy?
Meanwhile, Shar may be signing on for the reality series, "Ex-Wives." She was never Kevin's wife, but she is the ex-girlfriend and baby momma. Shar would be joining Marla Maples, the ex-wife of Donald Trump, and Tawny Kitaen, the ex-wife of Baseball's Chuck Finley. The reality show would feature the women giving advice on splitting up with a man and getting on with their lives. Tawny Kitaen has had quite a past. Back on the late 80's, she used to date O.J. Simpson.
Why does Rapper 50 Cent continue to diss his ex, Vivica A. Fox? He's the hottest rapper in the country, but he can't seem to move on. In a recent interview with America Magazine, the rapper claimed he should have read the rulebook with her. He says the one that states when you're in Hollywood, if you go out with star you're interested in, the next day, you wake up and you're married. He says the media attention was too deliberate and too much. He also disses Vivica on his latest album. Why can't he just move on and leave her alone? He can't stop talking about her!
The divorce is off between Rick Fox and Vanessa Williams! Rick filed for divorce last August claiming he didn't want to be married anymore. Rick, 35, and Vanessa, 42, have a four year-old daughter, and, a few weeks ago, she stated she was still in love with her wayward husband. And, she revealed they still slept together despite his cheating! Is Rick going to be faithful, or will they have an open marriage? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Nia Long and Martin Lawrence are reteaming for "Big Momma's House 2." Filming starts this summer, and this time Nia and Martin will play a married couple going after the bad guys along with Big Momma.
Patti Labelle and Elton John! Yes! They will be performing on the Fourth of July on the steps of the Art Museum as part of the Welcome America! festivities. It's a reunion because back in the 60's Elton used to play keyboards for Patti's group, The Bluebells. Patti and Elton will be joined by Rocker Bryan Adams and legendary Broadcaster Walter Cronkite. Patti and Elton will also be doing a duet on her upcoming LP. They are redoing Elton's classic, 'Your Song.'
Is Michael Jackson going to sell a portion of the Beatles' catalog to pay off his debts? According to spokespeople for the King of Pop, no! Michael owns the sought after music catalog from the Beatles, and it is worth millions. When Michael beat out Paul McCartney for the ownership rights, it destroyed their friendship. McCartney felt he should be the owner because he wrote the majority of the songs along with the late John Lennon. Michael reportedly was going to sell 50 percent of the catalog to pay off longstanding debts. He was also planning on cutting down the costs at his Neverland Ranch by getting rid of the zoo and the carnival. Michael needs the money. Maybe he is holding out for the highest bidder.
At the movies, it's 'King's Ransom' with Anthony Anderson, Jay Mohr, Kellita Smith, Nicole Ari Parker, Donald Faison, Loretta Devine and Jamie Foxx's one-time girlfriend, Leila Arcieri. The past year has been rough for Anderson. Rape charges were dropped against him, and he lost his father and brother. In addition to the new movie, Anderson is also co-starring on the FX cop drama, 'The Shield,' and he will be featured in a new Martin Scorsese movie.
An arrest warrant is out for Actor Wesley Snipes. He failed to show for court ordered DNA tests. An Indiana woman is claiming that Wesley is the father of her two year-old son. Wesley says the woman is a crack addict, and the child is not his. If this is true, why won't he take the DNA tests to clear his name? The DNA will not lie! Meanwhile, Wesley's Orlando, Florida home is headed for foreclosure. He owes over $23 thousand in back taxes, interest and fines. Wesley doesn't believe in paying taxes, so it looks like he is going to lose his home.
Quincy Jones' ex-wife Peggy Lipton is ready to tell all. Lipton used to star in the 70's TV classic "Mod Squad" as "Julie." She also starred on the ABC drama, 'Twin Peaks.' The book 'Breathing Out,' is due by early summer. Quincy is now dating Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner's ex-wife, Kimberly.
The new season the VH1 Reality Series, "The Surreal Life" is going to be hot. Filming recently ended for the show, and it is set to debut in September. Apprentice villain Omarosa squared off against America's Next Top Model big mouth, former Supermodel Janice Dickerson. The two almost came to blows several times during the taping of the show. Let's just say there was a lot of cussing and threats with scissors. The other housemates, Pepa from Salt and Pepa fame and Baseball's Jose Canseco were among the cast members who didn't know what to think. The fighting between the two women scared some of the other cast members.
Singer D'Angelo has pleaded guilty to possessing marijuana and driving under the influence. This stems from an incident that happened in January in Virginia. He was fined $300, his license was suspended for 18 months and he was given a 100 day suspended jail sentence. Cocaine was also found in the car, but that is a felony charge. That case will be heard later this year by a grand jury.
Blair Underwood is proving that there is life after a failed TV show. His NBC show, "LAX" with Heather Locklear, didn't last, but there's always the big screen.
Blair is teaming up with Tyler Perry for "Madea's Family Reunion." Filming starts in July, and the movie comes out next February. "Madea's Family Reunion" features Madea and family as they gather for a funeral, a family reunion and a wedding all in the same weekend. Blair will also be co-starring in the upcoming Sanaa Lathan movie, "42.4 Percent."
Aretha Franklin is going to be a presenter at the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on May 20th. The Queen of Soul loves soap operas, and she says it will be her honor to be a presenter. Aretha's new LP, 'A Woman in Love,' comes out at the end of June, and she is going on tour.
Will Smith will be hosting this year's BET Awards on June 28th.
If Rapper ODB is your daddy, you are going to have to prove it! The late rapper's wife, Icelene Jones, says she's aware her husband had other children, but they are going to have to take DNA tests to prove it. Icelene had three children by ODB, and reports have it, there are as many as ten other children out there.
Boxer Mike Tyson is a changed man. With the help of his ex-wife, Doctor Monica Turner, Tyson has turned his life around. He has stopped taking the medicine that left him depressed and angry. The former heavyweight champ is preparing for his next fight on June 11th. At a recent press conference, he was calm, cheerful, gracious and accommodating. Gone is the man who wanted to eat your children and bite your ears. Mike Tyson says he just wants to be given another chance. His ex-wife has been very helpful to him, but he says there is no chance of reconciliation. He says they will raise their children and be friends. He says she saved his life.
The friendship is officially over between Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Paris grew so jealous of Nicole, she had her kicked off their show 'The Simple Life.' Nicole will not be on the new season. She's being replaced by Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly. Nicole made that show, but over the past year she has turned her life around. Nicole no longer does drugs, she has lost weight and she's dressing better. Nicole looks fabulous, and Paris couldn't stand it. When Nicole was a druggie, Paris couldn't get enough of her. But now that she has made a change in her life, Paris dumps her. Don't fret for Lionel's daughter, she is in talks to get her own show on the Fox network with her Fiancé. Word has it, Paris liked to make snide remarks about minorities, and she liked to throw around the N-Word! Nicole is better off without her.

it looks like the original members of En Vogue are getting back together for a reunion album. Terry, Cindy, Maxine and Dawn. Yes, Dawn! They did the background vocals for Stevie's hit, 'So What's The Fuss,' and now they are planning a reunion album. 
R Kelly will be producing the new album from Charlie Wilson of The Gap Band. Look for it later this summer.

Last week, I talked about the upcoming "Dreamgirls" movie. Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy are all being considered for parts, but who is going to play the role of "Effie?" This role made famous by Jennifer Holiday. Well, I heard from many people around the country. A lot of people agreed with me suggesting Singer Kelly Price, but I also got a ton of emails suggesting Frenchie Davis. She was the "American Idol" contestant who was booted off because of a topless photo scandal. I also got suggestions for Fantasia and Mary J. Blige. Thanks to all who sent me emails. I had no idea how many people read the column from around the country. I got much love from California, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Texas.
Basketball's Ron Artest of the Indiana Pacers opens up in the latest issue of GQ Magazine. Artest has been suspended from the NBA since his infamous fight between him, Ben Wallace and fans from the Detroit Pistons. Artest lashes out at Kobe Bryant for cheating on his wife. He says Kobe was dead wrong for doing that. Artest has been known to cheat on his mate. But, he says his situation was different because he cheated on his girlfriend, and they were separated. By the way, he got another girl pregnant during this time! What's the difference? Cheating is cheating!
Oscar Winner Jodie Foster has joined the cast of the new Spike Lee movie, 'The Inside Man'. Denzel Washington will also star along with Clive Owen. Spike Lee will direct the movie about a cop going after a clever bank robber.
Singer Smokey Robinson will be getting the Mercer Award at this year's Songwriters Hall of Fame Ceremonies in June.
Football Player Rodney Peete is retiring from the NFL. The husband of Actress Holly Robinson Peete is headed to TV where he will be hosting Fox's 'The Best Damn Sports Show Period.' The Peetes recently welcomed baby number four a few weeks ago.
