James Brown charged with domestic violence

AIKEN, S.C. -- Soul singer James Brown was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly pushed his wife to the floor during an argument, authorities said.
Brown, 70, was charged with criminal domestic violence and was to remain jailed until a bond hearing Thursday morning, Aiken County sheriff's spokesman Lt. Michael Frank said.
Investigators say Brown shoved his wife during an argument in a bedroom at the couple's home in Beech Island, 70 miles southwest of Columbia.
Tomi Rae Brown, 33, had scratches and bruises to her right arm and hip and was taken to a hospital, Frank said.
James Brown's publicist Simone Smalls declined to comment Wednesday.
Brown is known as the Godfather of Soul for a multitude of hits, including "I Got You (I Feel Good)," "Sex Machine" and "Living in America." Last month he was honored at the Kennedy Center as "one of the most influential musicians of the past 50 years."
Brown served a 2 1/2-year prison term after a 1988 arrest on drug and assault charges and was convicted of a drug-related offense in 1998. He was granted a state pardon in May.

1) Faith just looks like she has on no make-up to me. But I never thought she was all that attractive anyway, so she just looks regular to me.
2) It didn't take no time for them to come up with that new Faith CD. What? Are people waiting for the opportunity for a spoof?
3) What self-respecting 33 y/o woman is gettin' her azz whooped by a 70y/o man??? Now, let's be real; I think I could whoop a 70y/o's azz. You think they still have sex? Eeeeeeewwwwww!
4) Did they take James to jail in his bathrobe? LLLLLMAO!!!

R Kelly Can't Fly
A judge in Chicago this week granted Kelly permission to attend the 46th Annual Grammy Awards February 8 in Los Angeles--under the stipulation that he not confab with Jackson.
R&B crooner Kelly, 37, is under indictment for child pornography; popster Jackson, 45, is facing child-molestation charges.
The judge's order in the Kelly case baffled both the defense and prosecution, which didn't request the stay-away-from-Michael move.
"We had no plan to see [Jackson] anyway," Kelly defense attorney Ed Genson said Wednesday.
It's doubtful that Kelly would even run into Jackson at the Grammys (news - web sites).
While Kelly is a double nominee, Jackson is neither an award contender, nor a scheduled performer. Grammy organizers on Wednesday said they didn't know if Jackson, who once needed both arms to haul away all his trophies, planned to attend as a spectator.
Last year, Kelly and Jackson collaborated on the song "One More Chance." Kelly penned it; Jackson sang it; record buyers and radio stations largely ignored it.
The Chicago-based Kelly was to leave for Los Angeles on Wednesday, traveling by bus. (Strange, but true: The "I Believe I Can Fly" singer doesn't like airplanes, his attorney said.) Per the judge's order, he's due back in the Windy City on February 18.
Kelly is under indictment in Illinois for an allegedly caught-on-tape sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl. He's also in hot water in Florida, accused of having a stash of kiddie-porn pics at his home there.
Jackson is accused of molesting a child at his Neverland Ranch.
Kelly's Grammy road trip is the latest excursion to be okayed by Judge Vincent Gaughan. Last year, Gaughan twice allowed Kelly to embark on mini-tours to support his latest album, Chocolate Factory.

1. The head...lawd help!
2. Isn't he like 70+? Ummmmmmm, how is he going to beat up a woman 30 or 40 years younger than he is? Seems like she could push him and summin would break. Dayum!
He is too old to look like that and act like that! OASAS

MASTER P FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY
Apparently the founder of No Limit Records, Master P (aka Percy Miller), does in fact have a limit--a financial limit. In a world exclusive, PopFeed has learned that Miller's company quietly filed for bankruptcy a little over a month ago on December 17, 2003. Our suspicions were raised when Koch Distribution, announced yesterday that they had signed Miller and his label New No Limit to a distribution deal (Miller's former distributor was major label Universal). Known as the final resting place for failing artists, in 2003 Billboard Magazine said that Koch has, "a tendency to sign acts that appear to be past their commercial prime."
Headed by Austrian native Michael Koch, the privileged son of Franz Koch, the company's Long Island, New York based independent distribution company has given many financially strapped rappers a final chance when no one else would touch them. Just recently Koch signed Suge Knight's Tha Row Records (formerly Death Row) to a new deal--presumably Knight will run the label from prison. Koch's own rap roster, run by the portly Alan Grunblatt, boasts such stellar hit makers as Grand Puba, Onyx and Afu-Ra -- all has-been, or never-was artists.
The most bewildering part of this story is that just a year ago, Miller was ranked on Fortune Magazine's "40 Richest Under 40" list with an estimated $361 million in holdings. But, as these documents clearly show [Page 1, Page 2, Page 3] Percy Miller's No Limit army is suffering heavy casualties. Miller is scheduled to appear in court for a bankruptcy hearing in California in two weeks on February 2nd.

How the (excuse my language) HAYLE do you blow $361 million in one frickin' year???
Oh My GOODNESS!!!!!!!! Who was his accountant/financial advisors?

Soror, yes, 70-year-old menzes do still have sex. Five years ago, Pfizer Inc. introduced this little blue miracle worker called VIAGRA.
