Despite the fact that Colorado played like shit and lost to the wild (I'm not worried, there's still 6 games, we'll take care of it), I watched all three OT periods of the Ducks-Wings game, and MAN, WHAT A GAME. That rookie goalie for the Ducks was awesome. And it was great listening to the complete and utter dejection when 1) the 1st OT "goal" was dissallowed (Of course it was, but what are the odds of that kind of shot?), and B) When Paul Kariya scored after all that. Hahaha I sense upset here, I do.

we'll see...anyone else notice that 7 of the 8 lower seeds won the first game?
Giguere's not really a rookie dude, he's 25.

True, but, wasn't this his first playoff game? What better way of showing you're good and can work great under pressure than THAT?
Hockey goalies are nuts. Having people shoot thick pieces of rubber at you at 60 MPH is insane.

That was in...there is no way the puck could have come out of the net at that angle if it had only hit the crossbar.

That puck never went in - besides you think you have problems - look at that Canucks game last night...

A) Yes it was.
B) This is going to be a very strange playoff year...look at all the lower seed first game winners:
* Edmonton
* Anaheim
* Minnisota
* St. Loius
* The Isles
* Toronto
* Washington
What's up with that?!?

but the adrenaline is insane, except for shots at your face.

If you looked at the overhead angle of the net, it didn't cross the line. You can clearly see that it hit the crossbar then the upright.

Anyone surprised by this???
Not that this has anything to do with the playoffs.... BUT, in the ingenious mind of Blackhawks GM who signed Fleury, he was suspended for another six months for substance abuse policy violations! JEEZ! And we Blackhawks fans wonder why we aren't in the playoffs! CAN YOU SAY, TAKE THE LOSS AND DUMP HIM!!!
We now return you to regularly scheduled thread.....
