The strut that Sorors were doing is done to "Scarred" by Luke. I believe that it originated in Texas, but has become the signature strut of the Sensational South Central region.

Hi. Please introduce yourself here. Welcome to GC. One of my chapter Sorors is a Hall Director at Texas A&M. She supports that chapter's programs. Do you know her?

Which version?
Which "set it off" do AKA's stroll to? I've only seen AKA's stroll to the old school version "set it off on the left y'all set it off on the right y'all set it off", but someone told me they stroll to Monica's "Set it off", I will say the former is MUCH better

This is Definitely going to date me, but ..... here is some public info I can share.
Back in the day of Ivies pledging on line in our cute little identical pink dresses (those were the days!), the first person in the line was called the HeadKnocker and the last person on the line was called the ToeKnocker (don't ask). Now, if one was so honored to maintain those positions of responsibility through Hell Week (oh yes, my friends, it was Hell), the names were amended to Captain and Anchor (I was an Anchor ). To further advance the nautical theme, after crossing the burning sands (to be consistent, maybe we should have called it the burning sea... ) .... your line sisters became your Ships or your Shippies.
While pledging, each Ivy had a Personal (and the Ivy was her Special or Spec)...and that Ivy was added to that Family's tree. Any Ivy deemed worthy by any Big Sister could become an Adopted Spec anytime throughout the Pledge Period ...another honor.
I am flummoxed by the concept of inter-greek 'sands', Deuce Clubs, Tre Clubs, etc....Not sure that I like it, but I guess it's good for NPHC Unity.
:::sigh::: that was a fun early-morning trip down memory lane! (All of the above is highly illegal today, but provided one of the most rewarding, developmental experiences of my life)

Hi, Soror!
I came in at the end of that era (#23, T.L.I.P.T.F., May 25, 1989, Gamma Chi chapter). I don't know why we're different from the rest of the country but we call sorors that crossed the same semester at other chapters our sands. For instance, I'm tight with sorors who came in that spring at Beta chapter. We call each other sands.
