We Have a WINNER!
Ahhhh yes....young grasshopper(s) -- (as they said on the 1970s TV show "Kung Fu") -- you are correct!
CardinalSM is first with the correct answer, followed by xokathy, Hootie, chiownxo (with very accurate info.) and chioqt! Excellent work, my sisters.
Indeed, Phi Chapter was colonized 1899 at Hellmuth Woman's College, London, Ontario, Canada. It closed in June, 1900.
Next question?

Maybe some of our GC friends in Canada could tell us, but I don't think the school exists today and in fact, I believe the curriculum changed back in 1900 which made it no longer feasible to continue to have a chapter there.

Yes, I think Texas has 13 active chapters...followed closely by Ohio and North Carolina with 11 each. (I might be a tad off on those numbers -- anyone else know?)
Plus, everything is just bigger in Texas...don'tcha know?!?

Ready for another question?
Who wrote the lyrics of the song Chi Omega Yours Forever as a gift to their chapter?
a.) Six members of the Chi Beta (Purdue Univ.) graduating class of 1937.
b.) Ethel Switzer Howard and the other members of her pledge class from Xi (Northwestern Univ.) Chapter in 1904.
c.) Founders Jobelle Holcombe, Ina Mae Boles, Allie Simmonds & Jean Vincenheller for the first National Convention in 1900.
d.) Mary Ruth Ferris, Lambda (Univ. of Kansas) Chapter and her daughter-in-law, Vickie Ferris, Lambda Zeta (Univ. of Missouri-Kansas City) for the dedication of the Chi Omega fountain at Univ. of Kansas in 1955.

Ahhh...nope! Ya see, as a former teacher I'm good at the art of the tricky multiple choice question! Guess again, please.
