While I m one of the first as usual to read the newest C & C, I am some what dissapointed in the total scripting of it.
If I am wrong, I do not know and I am going back to reread it.
Not impressed with this issue.

Like the article about a Brother who is pictching for The KC Royals and the chapter roles.
The rest was so bland!
Sorry, the History about LXA is of upmost importance or should be to all of us. It was nice to see Rhoads Scholars but how important was this?
Many do not know about the Founding or the Badge or Coat of Arms even though it has been presented before on C & C.
What about hazing or the dropping of racism, pledges. and many other problems that have haunted us and other National Greek Organizations.
History is just that and we all can learn from what what was right or wrong.

Been trying to get on since yesterday afternoon with no luck. I was told this morning there's been an ongoing problem with the web hosting and we're going to be getting a new provider soon.

How can Lambda Chi Alpha be the only fraternity with such poor IT from the membership's point of view?

John agree and we have been hearing for years about the upgrade of it!
I got on but tried again today and same as everyone else, zip!
Bob did a great job and again after much harping it was great to see where we will be going back and re opening Zetas. This was something a long time in coming.
We are to big with to many Brothers to have a half ass web site.
This is a major selling tool for LXA that lasts for a very long time for those PNMs who are searching the web for schools and Fraternities.

I dont understand it either John. We were supposed to be getting a new website as well and i have yet to see that released. Ive heard certain people or chapters have access to it, but im wondering whats the holdup on that. The site now is aggravating and confusing its a wonder its still operational. Personally i search google and they usually direct me to the right LXA page rather than sifting through the site.
Also, is a new directory supposed to come out, cause i thought that was on the agenda as well?
Seems like this stuff should all be finished by Centennial so we can make a good impression on all of the people who are gonna show up and be looking for some new fire as it were. Maybe rekindle what was there when they were undergrads.

The 'back story' on IT
Years ago we bought some data management software, I believe it was known as 'IMIS' that was supposed to solve all our problems. We mortgaged the farm on the damn thing and it never did work worth a damn. I suspect that our IT dollars were sunk into IMIS which precluded improvements in other technology. But IMIS is long since dead and buried and we need something - anything - 'cause anything is better than what we've got now!

Paper?
I received the following on March 25. "The website/iMIS database access apparently was too much to deliver in the set time period. The plan now is to deliver a website w/out the database, which I know isn't what you want to hear. The timeframe is to deliver the first phase of a new website by this summer."
As for the magazine, I think I'll pull out a Purple, Green and Gold from 1914, which - believe it or not - I can actually read!
