I had been running low on my Bobbi Brown make up (I hadn't found a decent stick eyeliner, until now) (So I use gel eyeliner a lot more).

I bought from Bobbi Brown:

Granite and Violet gel eyeliner
Heather eyeshaddow

Funny thing after I bought that, for Christmas my mom bought me two gel eyeliners from Merle Norman.

I bought from CVS- Almay

stick eyeliner-purple eyeliner (intense I color for browns)

Most recent make up I got was Clinique.

Lipstick: Pink Beach

Lipgloss: Whisper

I am running out of my liquid foundation, so unfortunately I have to buy that again!

My Sugarpill shadows came in today! I've been so ready to try them out. So far I'm loving Goldilux, Magpie, and Junebug. Now I've got to start making some color-combos

One awesome perk of being in advertising/media is the freebies. What's even more awesome is that I'm on an account that is in touch with a lot of girly magazines.

We got free mascara from a magazine that we had a meeting with, and I absolutely LOVE it! It's Voluminous Million Lashes by L'Oreal. It's the brush that makes it so great. The brush is like a plastic-y, firm material, instead of bristles. It seems to make all the difference in the world because it separates my eyelashes better than any mascara I've ever tried. I'm sure there are others that have an applicator brush like this, but this is the first one I have ever come across. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a new mascara.

Oh, and I looked it up, and it's only like $9. Can't beat that!

Here's an FYI: if you have Citibank thankyou rewards, they have all kinds of makeup available for your rewards points. I got 4 mascaras (was supposed to be only one in the 1 package, but I got 3 of them! I hope I like it) basically for free. At least, I consider rewards points free.

Just hipping everyone to this as I would have NEVER thought of them having something like this available.

Alright, ladies....this movie that I'm in starts filming in a month, and I'm providing my own makeup. I need suggestions on a good pancake makeup/foundation...it's been awhile since I've bought my own. Brands: I've got Macy's, Belk, Dillards, Nordstroms, Sephoria, Bare Essentials, JC Penny's, and Merle Norman at my disposal. I'd like to go somewhere with a counter where I can try it first, since I have an awful time finding my shade (I always get stuff that's too pale for me). Suggestions?

Estee Lauder has a full-coverage foundation that probably works really well, Double Wear Maximum Cover. However, it's been reformulated recently from the old Maximum Cover, and I haven't tried the new one. With the older version, a teeny bit went a long way, but an advantage of the new one is better choice of shades.

I saw a post about nails, and if anyone is as picky about their nails as me then do not do the new OPI Axxium manicure. It last up to two-three weeks guaranteeing no chips and you cant remove it with nail polish remover. Its great and is always shiny but the effect it has on your real nails is awful. It makes them thin, brittle, and yellowish. Sort of the same effect as acrylic nails but worse.

I've had nothing but good experiences with acrylic wraps. I'm a horrific nail biter so I need something pretty strong. My fills tend to last about 2 weeks and if the polish is good (I don't mess with anything except OPI or Essie), I can stretch another week out of it.

Good to know!

I've had good luck with CND shellac. It lasts as long as I can stand it (usually 2-3 weeks) before I want a different color. You can remove it with nail polish remover and I've haven't had problems with staining. And it actually seems to make my nails stronger.

For pancake, I would suggest Ben Nye. I know it's not on your list, but I bet you could find it at a theatrical supply shop or a costume shop. It's what I use for theatrical stuff, and though it's heavy, it covers and applies like a dream.

Ben Nye is what I'm used to using for theatrical stuff, but I'm worried it would be too heavy for the camera. Also, I can deal with my skin being terrible from using it for a show that runs a week or two, but this is going to be several months. That stuff doesn't breathe and makes me break out like crazy!

Matte eyeshadows: Mary Kay has quite a nice selection in matte colors. After a "certain" age sparkle only makes you look like an aging drag queen. And Mary Kay...I know, I was shocked but I really love the colors and every month or so they post new looks on their website that are pretty easy to duplicate by ordinary mortals.

Jen, I wear hard gas permeable contacts so I feel your pain with eye shadows.
You might want to try a good eye shadow base or cream base before putting on powder eye shadow. Use a neutral color that matches your skin. I use Mac Paint http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/...nts/index.tmpl.
I have also used Mac Paint Pot http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/...Pot/index.tmpl. Benefit http://sephora.com/browse/product.jh...ategoryId=5333, Smashbox and Bobbi Brown http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/t...T_ID=PROD10190. They all work really well.

I love MAC eye shadows.
Also Smashbox is really good.

If you need a good neutral multitasker, get the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/t...CT_ID=PROD1315.

It doubles as a neutral eye palette and bronzer.

As for Mary Kay, I have no respect for their products. I refuse to consider any sort of MLM scheme, let alone one that has high pressure sales tactics, lacks professionally trained make-up artists and aestheticians.
