LOL, can't you picture what it was like for the AGDs to rush the International President's daughter! Well, that's a top chapter!

Yes, when Jackie was giving her installation speech as the new IP in June , she announced that she was a Gamma Delta, her 2 daughers were Gamma Deltas, and her 3rd daughter was going to be going through recruitment at Auburn.
Everyone turned to the Gamma Delta Collegiate President and smiled!
Of course, there was always the possibility she didn't want to be an Alpha Gam...yea right, lol.

Well, Orange is starting her rush at Georgia Tech next week and maybe she'll be an Alpha Gam! (Or maybe an AXO, ADPi, AZD, Phi Mu, or Zeta!)
NO, none of these girls are my daughters, I have gotten 4 pms about that already! I'll have another one rush next year, don't I get a year off?

C, yes of course you may have a year off, as long as you share the extended family with us. We love celebrating the growth of the Carnation Nation!

Congratulations to everyone! As painful as they may be, those release figures really seem to be working, don't they? What's the Total at Auburn? I am SOOO glad that the Rainbow Girls all got bids!!
Special congratulations to Tiger Owl's new Alpha Delta Pi!
ETA: Congratulations to AGD for bidding the IP's daughter, too!

I am glad that it all worked out and I am sure they are are a perfect fit. But if it wasn't so, would you want to be the one to make THAT phone call?

I think that a lot of people don't want to make any phone call like that. Of the 15 or so legacies we've known who rushed in the past year, none got their legacy group and none of the moms or sisters got a phone call from the sorority first.

Okay, I've been following this thread, and it seems to me that Carnation could actually start her own sorority! Haha. Obviously, it could be called Chi Nu. LOL!!! Well, sounds like youre taking over NPC one recruitment at a time! Congradulations to all your girls! They sound amazing! Here's to hoping for kites flying around your house in the future...
Also, I would personally be a <<<<<<<NERVOUS WRECK>>>>>>> rushing the IP's DAUGHTER! GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!! More power to those girls trying to keep their composure!

Wow! Congratulations to Red, Yellow, and Blue - may they find happiness in their new sisterhoods.
And I checked the Auburn list (isn't that nice to have posted?), and saw that a local girl pledged Delta Zeta (and another pledged Phi Mu)! It is so exciting to see girls I know going through rush and "finding their homes".

TigerOwl, thank you! It's especially good to hear about someone who gets their first choice!

Everyone's heard my "that phone call" story, so I won't bore y'all with it again. I've since heard of a Chapter Founder's granddaughter being cut, and that phone call couldn't have been fun - but the PNM in that case was thrilled - she loved ADPi from the start and didn't like her legacy chapter on her campus!
We bid our then-Grand President's daughter in the 1980's, at Allegheny College. Even if she didn't like ADPi, I doubt that she had much of a choice!
