Oh and I'm rooting for Dreamy Ace. I think Katharine will do really well-- she has a natural presence and she's similiar to 2 past winners-- Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood (the strong vocals, pretty face, girl next door vibe that America keeps voting for).

They started this past round with 24 and only kicked out 4 people, so there are still 20 left.

Is Idol doing another elimination before the finals/top X amount?

I don't really know why it has to be the top 6 girls & 6 guys... what if there are more girls that sing better than the guys?

I think 19E is very hestitant to let what happened Season 3 happen again where the competition became all women. Plus, I've heard that 19E is really pulling for a white male to win this year.

Yes. Four more guys need to go as do four more girls to have six even for each gender. This will need to happen in 2 shows. Next week's will play out like last week's. The final week, when they reveal the top 12, will basically just select the top 12 from the chairs. (No bottom nothing, etc.)

The theme for tonight was sucky song choice! The interviews are so staged and cheesy.

Katherine- boring and forgettable

Kinnik- more entertaining, but not a good song choice for her voice. She said she's sung this a million times in her living room. It sounds like someone singing along in their living room.

Lisa- not doing it for me tonight... again, forgettable and boring.

Melissa- she in general just annoys me and i think she's kinda trashy. Her song was entertaining and pretty decent. To me she's a less lovable Kelly Clarkson.

Heather- i don't like the faces she makes when she's singing. I love this song, but she was very boring in the first part. I also thought her outfit looked stupid for this song. Don't sing Mariah if you don't have the chops

Brenna- fun song choice, but vocally ehhhh. Her fake smile is scary.

Paris- not digging the outfit. But the song wasn't great. Way too serious for her goofy personality.

Ayla- IMO the best so far. This girl can sing. She can pull off the big songs without choking. Best song choice so far.

Kellie- sounds like a hick when she talks. Not just a southern accent but a hick accent and she sounds like she's stupid. I don't thinks he has great stage presence. The song would've been better with a stronger presence.

Mandisa- interesting version of the song. I don't think I liked it sung that low like she did in the beginning.
