Oh, Sunny, I am so sorry!! It is clear that you would have been such an asset to one of these houses and I'm sorry that they couldn't see that.
I went through rush as a sophomore, and I got dropped from a good friend's house. I remember meeting her during rush (which was not allowed) and she was in tears over it because it was completely out of her hands -- no matter what she and her friends in the house said, I got cut anyway. Even sophomores didn't make it into that house. What that means is that your friends may well have not rejected you, but for reasons beyond their control you got cut.
