*Picks jaw up off floor* I'm just wondering, what are the odds that the person who came up with the idea *IS* a Tri-Delt?

Hey, you'd be amazed at the siamese cat stuff I've found and wondered ... "is this person TD?"

The siamese cat was chosen as our mascot for it's beauty, intelligence, poise and loyalty.

You know you're a proud Greek-
*When you wear letters sometimes EVERY day of the week.
*You can only think of maybe 3 items you DON'T have from the largest local Greek store in your area.
*You have become addicted to bidding on things related to your sorority on e-bay.
*You see sailboats on Lake Erie over the weekend and smile to yourself b/c they remind you of Sigma.
*You went to breakfast and lunch with your Leadership Consultant on her visit because you enjoyed talking to her so much and really want her job.
*You recommend to every girl you know that's starting college that she consider sororities as a way to get involved, meet people, contribute to the community, and be in something that has opportunities far beyond the college years.
*When one of your close friends goes through rush and joins a chapter, your show your Panhellenic spirit by buying her some sorority items with a congratulations card. (I did this for my close friend an Kappa Phi sister when she joined Delta Zeta a month after I joined Sigma)
*You are genuinely happy when ANY of your friends joins a sorority-even if it's not yours.

When you hear that your cousins have pledged a sorority you don't have on your campus but search all over town "just in case" there might be something with their letters on it. (They're DZs and I ended up getting them pink and green turtles I found at some random store! Might not be letters, but still I was happy! )

...when you have roses from your preference party, new member night, and initiation all hanging in your room 2 or more years later...
...you saw it as a sign that you belonged that your favorite flower was the flower of the sorority you wanted...
...you prepare for rush like men prepare for a super bowl party... months in advance.

-You're the only person on your street without a chemical lawn care service, because they want to get rid of your beloved violets! Silly people!!
-Your "focal" garden is diamond shaped.
-You have a set of china just for teas in a violet pattern.
-You have a big, brass lion door knocker.
-Your kitchen has a huge pot of violets that everyone comments on.
-You've made a "mane" for your mother's dog. He wears it resignedly.
-You already know how you're going to redecorate your one bathroom, and have the diamond accessories waiting to be used.
-(I know I've said this one before) You have a box in the basement that, when anyone touches it, you yell, "PUT THAT DOWN, NOW!!!"

Try working in a fabric store... I bought so many swatches of cool fabric for "letters" but as an alumna, you don't make them as often.
Lucky me that our symbol is the palm tree. So I've found the following: a bedspread, a doormat, towels, a shower curtain, numerous pictures, placemats, etc with palm trees. (And bright colors and flowers and stuff, which I don't mind much either.)
When you try to convince your bf to buy you that $2500 Tiffany's necklace with your symbol on it... not just because it's Tiffany's.
When you've been an alumna for a few years but still want to dance in Greek Sing and the like... even though it's against the rules. So you figure out which current sister you look most like and see if you can "borrow" her ID to check in.
You research current websites to see how you can transfer those ideas to make it work for you own chapter's.

I was in my strawberry bed yesterday pulling out violets (sorry but they had to come out), and thinking of ADPi sisters...."wow, if their sisterhood is as strong as the roots on these plants they are doing it right".
I have a brass lion door knocker too

Your fleur de lis collection is spread through every room of your house and includes:
*Trivets
*Cannisters
*Bookends
*Decorative soaps
*Plates, pitchers, juice glasses, toothpick holders, and china snack plates
*Bracelets, brooches, pendants, earrings, and rings
*Hanger hooks
*Throw pillows
*Finials on several window sills
*Sun catchers
*Bathroom accessories including the curtain rod and light fixture
*Stamping all over the bathroom walls for a wallpaper effect
*Enough Christmas ornaments for the whole tree
*Yard stakes in iris beds that are planted in every sunny spot in your yard.
And you saw it as "a sign" to buy the house because the ugly '70's blue and blue bathroom had an owl robe hook on the back of the door.
