I know exactly what you mean. Here in town some people were persecuted because of a "rumor" that was spread through email. It was later shown to not be true and the community came together in support of the man.
On a personal note, I have some friends from India and went to the movies with them the other night. I thought that maybe someone was going to say something to my friend because of all the evil and hateful looks he was getting. I firmly believe had I not been right by his side someone would have said something really mean and hurtful.
I just can't believe how this stuff is going. Everyone is so quick to judge. Pray that the ignorance dies soon. Some really great people are getting hurt everyday, both emotionally and physically.
