A: I would if they were cheaper. Right now the Canadian government doesn't seem to have any interest in starting any incentive programs (tax breaks, rebates) that would make me want to pay the difference in price. For example, I can get a 4 door Civic for about $17,000 (canadian), but the hybrid version is $10,000 more.
Quite a few US states have policies where you don't pay the tax or you get a sizeable rebate if you purchase a hybrid. I'll just get a Toyota Echo hatchback and still get around 50 mpg... or I'll get the Vespa I was lusting over a couple of days ago.
