I did this several months ago and ended up with yellow blonde roots and the highlights did not go all the way to the ends of my hair. Had I been in about seventh grade and living in a fantasy world where I would be a famous rock star by age 16, it may have been slightly cool. Luckily I was able to fix it by coloring my hair a brown slightly darker than my natural color. I think I almost cried.
