				I don't like smokers

At the local supermarket this morning, I noticed that there are two things kept locked up behind the counter: cigarettes and the stop-smoking products like Nicorette.
I guess the that if people who smoke fit the demographic of potential shoplifters, the smokers trying to quit are also potential shoplifters.

WTF are you talking about? They're kept locked up so minors can't have access to them.

tobacco products, enfamil (sp?), anti-smoking products, pseudophedrine products, pregnancy test kits

I'm sure there are others too.

That's the same at the grocery stores around here. I guess they figure shoplifters start early. But before they're eating solid food???

 | Unless you're in Boston, where blue laws still apply. Then there's not a drop of alcohol in the grocery stores, at least in the city.

 | I've actually started to see a few that have had.. but always in seperate areas. Plus Trader Joes usually has a big section for beer and wine.

 | In the city? I haven't been grocery shopping right in the city in a while, so I'm probably just out of the loop on that.

You're right though - Trader Joe's has a great selection of beer and some solid deals on wines. I used to go there all the time when I was at my old apartment.

 | A> formula is expensive
B> formula is white and is used to cut ("water down") meth and/or cocaine

 | I've nerv heard that. But ok. However, formula is readily available on shelves here, alonge with pregnancy tests, aids for quitting smoking, and some pseudoephedrine products. Tabbacco here, is kept behind the counter but is not locked up.

 | I can't remember where I saw it, but I know it was one of the Shaw's that had it.

 | Iowa= hot spot for meth production. Not sure why pregnancy tests are, but this is a college town so that might have something to do with it being a hot item to steal or something.

 | I've never heard that either and i just spent two months on a documentary about crystal meth addicts. I did however find out that draino is used alot, and i doubt it is locked up.
