Technically, you could wear letters (I don't know what your chapter does... but NOT allowing it is hazing, some chapters just strongly discourage it.. however) therefore, you are a sister yourself. At least thats how I would rationalize it. If they cared enough about you to give you a bid to join our sisterhood than they aren't going to mind if you call them sisters despite the fact you aren't initiated yet.
