Lizzie could use some shaping, threading, plucking and her voice seems oddly masculine to me, but I enjoyed the show.

Kelly was a hot mess in tonight's episode.....the bad extensions, ignoring her fiancee, stalking Paris (whose extensions were just as bad). She was all over the place. I can't see her lasting too long in PR.

I hate Lizzie's voice overs. You can tell she's reading right from a cue card.

Yeah you guys are right, this show is hyped, don't believe in it! Majority of PR/Marketing/Advertising are regular desk/office jobs. Not that there's anything wrong with desk jobs, but if you're looking for glamour, move to LA or NYC and try to get jobs at the top firms...which will be unlikely. If you're looking for a job where there will be interaction with tons of people, you may or may not get a chance to in these fields. I wish I found that out before my last semester in undergrad when I did that internship.

I've never heard of this chick. I did a Google search, and all I got was pages upon pages of stuff about this show.

What's she famous for?

For backing her SUV into a line of people waiting outside a nightclub in the Hamptons and then calling them white trash before taking off.

Her father is a big entertainment lawyer in NYC as well.

Lizzie continues to be tough to look at -- leather skin, bad roots, smoker's voice, etc. But this show is strangely enjoyable. I'm sort of surprised that Lizzie didn't bust a cap into Kelly after complaining about her all during the show.

Walter's not that bad-looking.

So I'm graduating with PR in a month. Wow. I wish there were jobs like that here in Suburban Detroit. Wait... I wish all PR was like that. It's not AT ALL!

Press releases, media releases, flyers, pictures, websites, press conferences...

SO GLAMOUROUS.

She backed her SUV into a line of people waiting outside a nightclub in the Hamptons, injuring about 16 people, who all sued her.

eta: here's an article about it.

Conscience Point was a hot spot in 2000 and 2001. I'm not sure about now. She 'accidentally' drove her SUV into a bunch of people after she called them white trash.

Lizard Skin? CTFU...I would think that she would have some dermatologist clients or something that would give her a chemical peel, etc.

Very true. Most PR firms work with local companies and plan events, dinners, create websites and do press releases. The larger PR firms in an area will do the same thing but for bigger companies. Not all that glamorous although you get to know a lot of people within the area. It's only a few PR firms (out of millions) that do the large-scale publicity events where they get to hobnob with celebrities. These jobs are mostly found in NYC, LA and maybe Miami. A PR internship and a college degree (even at a prestigious university) won't get you one of those types of PR jobs. The people who are hired for these positions usually know someone within the company or have a relative who is somewhat of a celebrity.

A lot of college girls will probably want to go into PR thinking that it's as glamorous as the show portrays it to be. Little do they know that they will most likely end up working for a small PR firm or they'll be working in the marketing/communications department of a company.

ETA:
Oh, FYI, the pay sucks at the smaller, local PR firms. A few of my friends and sorority sisters decided to work for these PR firms rather than work in a corporation's marketing department. The PR companies are smaller so you have more responsibilities when you start and you'll move up the ladder quicker. Downside: You'll probably get paid significantly less than a first year teacher. Needless to say, I took a marketing/PR position in a corporation's communication department. I like having enough money to eat.
