I know that there are girls at my school who play intercollegiate sports AND are in houses. A girl in my freshman dorm played soccer, pledged pi phi, and maintained good grades freshman year. She's still playing soccer, and I think she's an officer in her house. Actually, there's quite a few girls in Pi Phi in the soccer team, and I think there's a few volleyball players in sigma chi. And atleast one guy in PKA plays football for the local JC, so it definitely can be done! My advice for your friend would be to go for it, because if you really want something, you can work to make it possible (and good luck to you too!
