I think it would be really great if New York won. It would force them to finish major infrastructure projects on a deadline - the extension of the 7 train, more housing in long island city, the convention center, the stadium (which i am completely in favor of - why should ny'ers have to schlep to jersey from brooklyn to see any non-baseball outdoors sporting even - i am sick of all these so-called new york teams that never actually play here)
plus its a matter of pride too, all the major citys of the world have hosted a summer olympics - why can't we?
