The thing that bothered the most about her PM was the reference to animals. Is she saying that FAMU students are animals?????

I KNOW she wasn't trying to start some stuh with my sistahdiva!! She's not ready!!

That poor child needs help, IF she is who she claims to be. You all know that some folks wanna be down so badly that they masquerade as someone that they are not in order to get a piece of the action. And usually, when people take the tone and attitude that she had with LadyGreek, they are just looking for someone to entertain them. She's still young.

And when did it become OK for college students to be on the 'net all day, as she stated in that PM? At a fine academic establishment like FSU, shouldn't she be more concerned with her studies, community service, campus organizations?

And this quote was so FUNNY to me!

Though you may believe they are the only people that can achieve these things, what makes YOU think that just because you attend FSU they will cut YOU in on the action? At the end of the day....

I soooooo agree with this. With 3 brothers who were STILL in college at the time I was about to go to school, I had no choice but to go where I could get a free education. Coming from a family w/2 generations of HBCU grads, it was disheartening to accept the fact that I would be getting my education at a PWI due to this situation.

I saw all that drama that "SUNFLOWER SEEDS" started, so I thought I would just post something sweet, innocent, and non-controversial. But then again, you know how BOBBYEARL likes to do it .

I agree with ClassyLady. I think prostitution should be legalized as well. This way, you don't have to waste your time dating to find out that some (I said "SOME", NOT ALL) women are all about the bread.
Some (again, NOT ALL, I am only saying "SOME") women can just tell you, up front, that they are for sale.

In the words of Joe Clark,

"Don't ____ around with it. DO IT EXPEDITIOUSLY!"

Besides, a brother might have $20 or $25 on him at the time to throw away.
Oh, I'm not saying I would do it, but I am sure there are some guys out there who would.

Legalization can also lead to mandatory testing and could diminish one of the ways HIV is spread.

Well since it's for a good cause , I say we should get the ball rolling.

Plus, this $20 is burning up in my pocket.

I believe that Black Egyptian History should be taught to children as early as elementary- no preschool, and it should be mandatory for all to be competent in this subject ,as well as reading, math, science, etc. I believe in reparations due to African Americans to redress the atrocities of slavery which still plague the underclass of African Americans in today's society- maybe if they had the money there would be more businesses and organizations and institutions to build a better economic climate within the innercities of America.

Actually Tuskegee is the best.

Carry on with the bickering...

While typically I would attempt to provide an intelligble response to the obviously uninformed young lady, I will not. Her beliefs are typical of many of the black student who attend PWIs . . . .interesting, however, IF, FSU is, as you have so boldy stated, better than Florida A&M University, then WHY does FAMU continue to graduate top students in Pharmacy, Business, Nursing and Education. WHY is it that when I was a law student at University of Florida, the admissions office was having a difficult time finding QUALIFIED students from FSU to attend - no problem finding FAMU students . . .but these statistics will inevitably fall on deaf ears - you, as many who dare to make such statements, are lost . .and no amount of information will bring you out of that darkness . . . .

Wow, thanks for the edumacation. I stand corrected. But I'll ask then, when did the SBI become non-accredited. ESpecially since it is one of the most recruited programs for corporate internships.

All I will say, Sunshine, is it is a good thing you decided on FSU.
As an alumnus of SBI (98) please allow me to give ACCURATE information, which is far more than "confused flower" is giving. The School of Business & Industry is not accredited (which is the end of the accuracy of flower's comments). When a school applies for accreditation, the curriculum of the school must coincide with the curriculum of all business schools ( or offer similar classes). Because SBI is a unique creature and the brain child of a genius (Sybil Mobley) to have the program accredited would not provide any added value to the education the students are receiving. . . it would eliminate key courses that are offered that have become the cornerstone of the program, i.e. Professional Development. SBI is one of the most competitive business programs in the country and has graduated some of the brightese business minds in this country and abroad . . .Graduates go on to work for IBM, HP, Proctor and Gamble, Pfizer, etc RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE! The internship program and the PD program gives students the ability to interact with CEOs and Presidents of corporations before they even get to the company . . . . .NO school, not even UF's Business School can say the same. (I left off FSU's business school b/c it is nothing to talk about - FSU students come to us . . .)
