My only advise would be to check on your organization's rules about alumni groups. Do they allow for chapter-based alumni groups, or area-based or both? Do you need permission from the chapter to form a chapter-based group? Do you need to get approval from your national organization to form a group? (this is done to protect the copyrights/trademarks on your name, etc)
