As soon as the Iraqis have their own government set up, the insurgent attacks will be seen as attacks on the people and their own legitimate government, not on the US occupation or a "puppet government". I can only wonder how many lives may have been saved if the US had let the Iraqis have elections earlier.And this frees us up a bit to find those WMD that are our reason for being in there.
