It's hard to define, but you can find it living in our public schools and our teachers' union. Another name might be intolerance.

Generally, it means doing anything possible regardless of cost or common sense to prevent some one from being offended in any way.

For example, Christmas trees are banned at school, because some Muslim might be offended.

Dozens of empty handicapped parking spaces litter the parking lot, so there might always be an empty one for a visitor.

Mostly, the advocates of political correctness preach tolerance, but act intolerant.
