I dunno what to think about this person's statements. It was nothing that I did not know already. It is unfortunate that he sees it as a bad state of things from what women of African descent suffer as well as other women in general.
I agree with what most folks are saying, too. So it is not that aspect that is biting me about this article...
What is biting me is that apparently we are not redirecting our youth and ourselves into thinking the majesty of our heritage. The strengths we had made through it all. Finding ways out of no ways. And still look good while we're at it.
After I read this piece, I could not get the line from Nikki Giovanni's (a sorority sister of DST) poem out of my head:
"I am soooooo bad, that even my ERRORS are correct!!!"
And that's the way I see it...
If that is what a "B" is... Too bad for the Black man that can only squeeze out of his mind just that to call me... 'Cuz really, the way I see it, I have been called many other things... Which makes me become indescribable, undefinable, indominitable, undeniable and always keeping control in my Universe...
It started with me... It will end with me... What 'cho mama havta say???
